Harvest didn't have any rewards really, it was the crafting that people cared about, and not until last league, since during actual harvest league the players dropped off quickly (hence why it went core so strong as a second chance for the mechanics). In ritual all i did was go in circles till i killed everything, quite boring and forced into a circle as well. No matter what your build is there is a modifier you will not want to take, or modifiers that you are forced to play around and thus change how you play. This league is all about creating challenging circumstances that players can opt out of whenever they want. Ultimatum by design forces an economy to where those valuable itemized ultimatums can never lose value cause they will be marginally less value than the potential rewards which are guaranteed profit for the buyer.
For the itemized ultimatums you can lose currency by failing, and you can screw yourself by time you get to 10th round based on your choices. Many builds by design are not that good for this league. Most players will actually never get to 10 rounds unless its low tier maps. They were also balanced to not be that difficult for the overall playerbase.
